The Tuscan region has opened a competition to help locals and tourists alike learn and appreciate Tuscany's smaller, lesser-known museums.
The contest highlights Tuscany's rich cultural and artistic offerings. Sixty museums in the region's 10 provinces are participating in the initiative, which includes free entrance to contest winners.
On January 8, the contest rules were posted (in Italian and English) at one selected museum in each province. The rules are at Florence's Palazzo Strozzi and Prato's Luigi Pecci Contemporary Art Centre. Winners, who also get free access to the other 60 participating museums, have seven days to use their passes.
