The Museum of Palazzo Vecchio will open a café as part of a 2 million euro expansion project. The plan is for a ground-floor cafeteria with two entrances, one by the Anagrafe and the other by the bookshop. The work will cost 106,000 euro and should be completed within six months. The expansion project also includes a path from the archaeological excavations of the Roman Theatre to the Arnolfo tower. ‘We are aiming to raise awareness of the archaeological, historical and political events that happen within these walls,' said Florence's councillor for culture, Sergio Givone
