Shay Young

Shay Young was born in South Windsor, Connecticut. She is currently a psychology major at the University of Connecticut, hoping to get her doctorate in clinical psychology. Her mother was an avid sewer growing up and Shay spent hours in fabric stores looking through pattern books. Shay has acquired the love of fashion from her mother?s fascination with sewing, knitting and making jewelry. Florence being the fashion capital of the world seemed like the perfect place to study fashion journalism. She hopes to become immersed in the culture of fashion here in Florence and to see what exactly sets Florence fashion apart.
