Artists Patricia Silva and Lyall Harris have teamed up to create a new body of work – and the public will play a crucial role. Working out of the SRISA gallery space from March 23 until April 2, they will use donated materials to create artwork based on the theme of "Nostalgia." Community members are invited to take part in the project by donating materials that evoke a sense of nostalgia – from paper and postcards to discarded clothing and found objects, the possibilities are endless.
After the interactive creative process is complete, the artists will give a talk at the gallery's inauguration event on April 5 at 6.30pm. The work will remain on display in the gallery until April 21 (gallery hours are 10am-9pm Monday-Friday).
