"My inspiration was again guided by figures of women, of artists who have left behind contributions in painting and in music," explains Alberto Canestro, "selecting them for this show as a symbol of women's redemption from violence. With their works and their lives, Artemisia Gentileschi and Frida Khalo showed themselves to be able to
respond courageously to a violent destiny; and the unmistakable voice of Edith Piaf evokes painful memories of a fragile and too sensitive existence, bent by life. "
