This open-air concert is the most ambitious musical project of the German Culture Institute of Florence (Deutsches Institut Florence). Two leading jazz musicians from the German scene (Jens Duppe drums and Dietmar Fuhr bass) have been invited to Florence to perform together with two Italian colleagues (Giovanni Pecchioli Sax and Fabrizio
Mocata piano). The aim is to find a common musical language transcending cultural, historical and linguistic barriers. Jazz does not specifically belong to the cultural history of neither Germany nor Italy, but it is a rhythmic ritual with the power to talk directly to human’s souls: it’s universal.
Entrance is free.
