Delighting the taste buds and the other four senses, the Pitti Immagine Taste food fair is an annual journey through Italy’s culinary landscape, from food to wine, from trends to philosophies, from equipment to design. Think top-quality food and drink from around the Boot, especially Tuscany, and imagine yourself moving from stand to stand, tasting your way through the fair, bumping elbows with other like-minded food lovers, as you discover yet another Italian food product of pure excellence: that is Taste.

Behind every great product, however, is a skilled creator, and this year we are celebrating the talented men and women behind the delicacies on offer and the foodies who continue to savour their sublime specialities. Cheesemakers, chocolatiers, pastry chefs, wine producers, craft beer makers and more: these culinary artisans combine traditional skills, passed down the generations, with the most up-to-date ideas and techniques in the kitchen. But let’s not forget the people they do it all for: the foodies!

Be a foodie too from March 9 to 11 at Taste and its accompanying event, Fuoriditaste, from March 7 to 11. There’ll be something for everyone, including workshops on cake design and pizza making, and myriad off-site events such as an aperitivo tasting experience in the pitch dark as well as free gelato, lampredotto and cheese tastings.
