The ‘Road of the Gods’ is an antique Etruscan path going from Bivigliano in Fiesole, all the way to piazza Maggiore in Bologna. This route traverses twelve different municipalities, and has recently received renewed appreciation from trekking aficionados. The trail is about 130 kilometers long, and has been deemed average in terms of difficulty other than brief, but more challenging, stretches in the Apennines!

These twelve municipalities are now collaborating on a project to attract more attention to this trail, and help one another promote it through the organization of excursions, tourism packages, a website, and social media support. There is a lot to see on this beautiful walk, including the various and vast territories, the stone towers of Monte Adone and the historic Roman cobblestoned roads.

This path is a must for any trekkers in Tuscany!
