Florentine boutique Mercatino di Ninni is making a fresh start in via Federighi after two decades of tastemaking just outside the Sant’Ambrogio area. Vaunting a finely curated vintage collection and a range of contemporary labels, Mercatino di Ninni is a mecca for discerning shoppers, fashion collectors and Florentine trendsetters.

The shop caters to stylish women of all ages. Owner Ninni has a knack for spotting and stocking unusual statement pieces, born out of her long experience in the business.

Even a casual perusal of the racks is a study in sophisticated taste. Bottega Veneta, Issy Miyake, Yves Saint Laurent, Lanvin, Hermès, Chloé, Chanel, Fendi, Marni and Narciso Rodriguez are only a few of the luxury labels lining the shop. Here, however, high fashion doesn’t break the bank. Much of Ninni’s inventory is modestly priced: often, pieces are from past collections, but have never been worn before. With Ninni’s far-flung fashion contacts in Paris and around the world, items often arrive to the shop straight from runways and showrooms.

Though some of the clothes and accessories are sample items, the boutique still carries a range of sizes. The vintage selection spans the 1960s to the 1990s, with all items thoroughly researched and chosen with care. Current pieces from labels like Tory Burch or diffusion lines like See by Chloé are also common.

When your wardrobe needs an update and you don’t know where to turn, any search for statement-making pieces stops at Mercatino di Ninni.
