In recognition of the 150th anniversary of Florence as the former capital of Italy (1865–70), jewellery designer Angela Caputi pays tribute to the Baptistery as the city’s religious, cultural and political hub.

The “Battistero” collection celebrates the monument’s two-tone marble and patterning in necklaces, earrings and bracelets, as well as the dazzling gold of the baptismal site’s doors, mosaics and columns. The collection is Angela Caputi’s way of turning the spotlight on Florence’s minor arts, now as vibrant as ever on the local contemporary creative scene.

The Baptistery and its priceless fixtures and fittings—the silver altar, the doors and the veritable treasure chest of San Giovanni—are emblematic of the unity and universal dignity of the arts. A symbol of the past to inspire the future: the Baptistery collection features objets of contemporary elegance for the modern woman.
