Four Seasons Hotel Florence is gearing up to celebrate its tenth birthday.
The hotel opened on June 15, 2008, following a seven-year restoration project to return the 16th-century Palazzo della Gherardesca to its former glory, built in 1473 by the chancellor of the Florence Republic Bartolomeo Scala, in addition to the 17th-century La Villa, originally commissioned by the noble Del Nero family.
Today, the hotel, with its vast grounds, spa, outdoor pool and historic suites, is an iconic destination for guests seeking a location vaunting the very best amenities in the centre of Florence. The Michelin-starred Il Palagio Restaurant, the Al Fresco Trattoria-Pizzeria with the Pool Tree Bar and the Atrium Bar have all become sought-after venues for fine dining and outstanding cocktails.
On June 14, Four Seasons Florence will throw the party of all parties to celebrate its tenth year. The evening will bring a spectacular dinner show, featuring fire dancers, visual performances, acrobats, interactive catwalks, live bands and fireworks directed by the brilliant Nu’Art performing arts company. The magical setting of the Della Gherardesca gardens will be transformed into a sparkling utopia by Artistic Designer Vincenzo Dascanio. Expect the real and the surreal, featuring a menu designed especially for the occasion by Michelin-star chef Vito Mollica and a dessert buffet by pastry chef Domenico Di Clemente: all the dishes will become part of the mesmerizing show.
