A home game tie against Atalanta, the lowest ranking team in the Series A championship, was not good news for anyone, especially the Fiorentina. Neither the team from Bergamo earned the points necessary to move out of last place, and, even worse, has sent Fiorentina back down to a very worryingly low classification, once again putting it at risk for expulsion from the Series A championship next year. And, thanks to the victories of teams Brescia and Chievo, the battle against retrocession now includes more than half of the entire Series A teams. In the last two games of this year’s championship, 11 of the total 20 teams will be fighting to remain in the Series A. This has resulted in a very difficult situation for Fiorentina, which will be meeting Lazio for a difficult game in Rome next week. And, then in two weeks, the team goes against Brescia (and ex-Fiorentina coach, Cavasin) back in Florence, where they will have to give it their all in their very last chance to remain in Series A
