Giuliana Coen Camerino passed away in her native Venice on May 12 at the age of 90. The designer made handbags for an array of silver-screen stars, among them Grace Kelly and Elizabeth Taylor, and her brand, Roberta di Camerino, which she founded in 1945, catapulted her to fame. Camerino started designing her handbags during the World War II in Switzerland, having fled Italy to escape persecution.
