Want to open a gelateria but don’t know how to go about it? Young prospective entrepreneurs can now consult a new website, www.giovaneimpresa.it, to search for procedures, documents, and general advice.

Intended for would-be entrepreneurs aged 18 to 35, the website guides novice business owners through the bureaucratic process of opening a business and the initial phase of its operation.

The site, financed by the national ministry of youth policy, contains information, including more than 200 documents, on how to open some 130 types of business, in addition to a free consultancy service with experts in the field. The site also lists useful information and procedures for every Italian region: where to register a business and what documents are required. Grants and loans available on the regional, national and European level are also listed.

‘We want to help those who are young and do not come from the business world and thus more likely to get stuck in bureaucratic mishaps and obstacles,’ said youth policy minister Giorgia Meloni.
