According to a study by the Fondazione Migrantes, although the number of non-Italian students studying in Italy is low, just 3.1 percent, compared to the European average of 10 percent, most of Italy’s international students are enrolled in universities in Florence and Pisa. The programs that attract the most foreign students to Italy are economics, medicine, engineering, literature and philosophy.
