Following
in the footsteps of Tod’s tycoon Diego Della Valle, who announced late in 2010
that he would fund the entire restoration of Rome’s Colosseum, the Prada
Foundation recently announced that it too would help foot the bill for a
much-needed restoration: Venice’s Ca’ Corner della Regina Palazzo. One of the
city’s best examples of Italian baroque architecture, Ca’ Corner della Regina
was built in 1724 on the Grand Canal. The restoration project is expected to
take six years.
