For the third consecutive year, the Vatican Museums’
doors are opening to the public on Friday evenings through July 15. As part of
these special hours ‘under the moonlight,’ visitors can enjoy the Vatican’s
many collections, from 2,000-year-old Etruscan sculptures to frescoes in the
Gallery of Maps, handmade Flemish tapestries, the Raphael Rooms and
Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel. The museums’ Friday evening hours are 7pm to
11pm. Reservations are required; see http://www.museivaticani.va.
