As
Florentines start heading for the hills or the coast, the city streets will
slowly empty out, from the last weekend in July through mid-August. For those
few staying in the city during the dog days of summer, however, it is a great
time to see Florence: no lines, no crowds, no traffic.
Take
advantage of no-hustle and no-bustle Florence to see and do the things that you
rarely have time for the rest of year. Accordingly, our summer issue has loads
of ideas for experiencing the city in the coolest ways possible. And while
you’re here, we have a mission for you: take a few snaps of your Florence
summer and share them on our Facebook Fan
page. You never know, your picture of Florence in hot and hazy August may
end up on the cover of next year’s summer issue!
May
the shooting begin!
