Dear Editor,

I thought that I would take the time to write you a positive note. I know all too often editors hear what readers feel is not working right, and people don’t take the time to write about when something is good.

I would just like to tell you that I really enjoy the articles written by Deirdre Pirro. I must admit that I am not an art lover (my forte was science/math in school), so I find a lot of the art articles dry.  Deirdre’s articles, on the other hand, touch on historical people that are not necessarily related to art–and I love history. For me, reading each article is like enjoying a little novel. They have a great balance between capturing the historical significance of a person (their story), and just the right touch of salaciousness to make them very interesting to the modern reader.

I will look forward to reading more upcoming articles.

Sincerely, Elizabeth C.
