The 2013 UCI Road World Cycling Championships, last held in Limburg, Holland, will be held in Tuscany from September 21 to 29, and will pass through the heart of Florence. The International Cycling Union has made public the details of the different races and has confirmed that each of the event’s races will pass through the cobbled streets of Florence, including piazza Duomo. Each of the different racing categories will cover more than 272km, in a route that also passes through Lucca, Pistoia and Prato. For more about this event and related activities, see page 18.
