Fresh from the resounding success of TF’s first ever digital-only issue (you wouldn’t believe us if we told you how many people downloaded and read it), The Florentine is happy to be back on paper on January 30, available free of charge from its usual points all over Florence—you can get The Florentine anytime from the Paperback Exchange, in via delle Oche, 4R, and from B&M Books, in borgo Ognissanti, 4R.

In the upcoming student issue, we offer tips about where to buy cheap furniture and where to get long-term bike rental. Find out about how internships work in Italy, and we give students a helping hand with an indulgent traditional dish, crespelle alla fiorentina. Plus, there’s our usual events listing, packed with things to do in Florence.

To welcome newcomers to the city, this month we are running TF’s first Instagram contest #TheFlorentineinme (get the details in the paper on Jan 30), with prizes from some of Florence’s finest American food places, and a meet-and-greet TF karaoke night at historic Red Garter on February 12 at 9pm.

Enjoy The Florentine and hope to meet lots of you in person at the TF karaoke night on February 12!
