The Firenze Marathon is the second most popular marathon in Italy, with over 11,300 runners taking part in the last edition. It has also been praised on a global level for its welcoming atmosphere and the energetic support by the city’s inhabitants. The organising committee is working to further increase this support, making it so there is encouragement from the sidelines from start to finish, with a citywide celebration.
This November 30 marks the 31st year of the marathon, and in order to help achieve this goal there will be the Firenze Marathon Clap Contest. The aim of the contest is to provide stimulating and diverse entertainment of all sorts along the entire journey of the athletes. The contest is open to everyone: musicians, actors and street-artists, and in groups of all sizes!
