The stars are arriving in Florence for the preview weekend of Ron Howard’s Inferno.

On Wednesday, October 5, scenes from the movie will be projected onto the river in front of the Ponte Vecchio from 9 to 11:30pm. This sort of projection has never been seen before in Italy: a massive jet of water used as a screen forming a mist on which the images will be shown every 20 minutes.

Dan Brown on including The Florentine in Inferno the novel: “About the people, for the people, by the people. I was familiar with The Florentine from a visit here two years ago, and also online, and it was enormously helpful, obviously, to get a flavor. I would not have included it if I were not a fan.”

On Thursday, October 6, the film will be shown as a press-only preview at the Odeon Cinehall followed by a press conference in the Palazzo Vecchio’s Salone dei 500 at noon, with the complete Inferno team in attendance: director Ron Howard, Tom Hanks, Felicity Jones, Irrfan Khan, Omar Sy, Ben Foster, Sidse Babett Knudse and author Dan Brown.

On Friday, October 7, the cast will appear for a photo call at Forte Belvedere. In actual fact, Forte Belvedere is the headquarters for the Inferno crew during their time in Florence with round-the-clock catering and lounges.

The official world premiere will be screened on Saturday, October 8 at Florence’s Teatro dell’Opera, by invitation only.
