A new bus to Forte di Belvedere and Villa Bardini has been announced by the City of Florence, connecting the historic city center with the surrounding hillside. Ataf line “FB” is the result of a collaboration between the City of Florence, Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Firenze and Mus.e, with the aim of making it easier for Florentines and tourists to visit these museums and their exhibitions.

From July 18 to October 1, an Ataf bus will run 15 round-trip journeys every 30 minutes between Palazzo Pitti and Forte di Belvedere. The route will begin at Palazzo Pitti and proceed down via dei Bardi, piazza dei Mozzi – in front of the Stefano Bardini Museum – Porta San Miniato (a new stop), Forte Belvedere (a new stop) in via di San Leonardo, and, on the return, viale Galilei, piazzale Galilei, viale Machiavelli, Porta Romana in piazza della Calza, Via Romana, piazza San Felice and back to Palazzo Pitti. The route does not require a special ticket and normal Ataf&Li-nea tickets will be accepted.
