BTO – Buy Tourism Online is the Italian leader in exploring the crossroads between tourism and innovation, and next year will return to the place where it all began: Florence’s Stazione Leopolda. Set for March 20 and 21, 2019, the event will focus on companies, universities and other educational institutions with an eye towards tourism.
The program has yet to be settled, but what is certain is that new trends and ever-developing content in travel-related scientific research and technological innovation will be a main topic of discussion, as will best practices. The organizers are hoping the chosen dates won’t go unnoticed: the first days of spring are a time for new beginnings – perfect for an event whose entire mission is dedicated to change and innovation – but what’s more, BTO aims to be a forerunner to the many events poised to take place as the tourist season kicks off.
The 2019 edition will also feature something new: Ecosistemi Digitali will run concurrently, the national event backed by Mibact and dedicated to bringing together representatives of institutions and companies operating in tourism in order to share best practices for innovation in the public governance of tourism in Italy.
