Free museum visits for 18 to 25 years

Florence’s city museums free on Mondays

Youngsters can now enter Florence’s museums for free on Mondays.

 

Beginning on January 21, European Union citizens aged between 18 and 25 years will be able to make the most of complimentary year-round Monday access to the Palazzo Vecchio Museum, Museo Novecento, Stefano Bardini Museum, Brancacci Chapel and Fondazione Salvatore Romano.

“It’s our duty to broaden the knowledge and education of younger generations,” commented Mayor of Florence Dario Nardella in a press release. “Our museums are treasure troves of art, history and culture that not everyone knows about and we’d like to encourage visits for all.”
