Firenze Convention and Visitors Bureau is preparing to launch the new Destination Florence project, in partnership with the City of Florence, shaping a future model for the governance and sustenance of tourism in Florence, an undertaking that has the potential to become a benchmark in Italy.

Destination Florence will track tourism flows, expand, deepen and diversify experiential offerings and improve the city’s marketing and promotional strategies. The main goals are to encourage tourists with a high spending profile, extend the average length of their stay, analyze tourism behavior and to improve Florence’s global image.

Firenze Convention and Visitors Bureau is the official partner of the City of Florence, operating as destination promoter and increasing the quantity, quality and importance of events, conferences and international weddings held in the city. The numerous premium partnerships with hotels, conference facilities, venues, events organizers and suppliers allow FCVB to offer the most efficient and incisive action. FCVB can source the best existing rates for all locations and service types, as well as facilitating unique contracts due to collaborations with event planners furnishing a range of cost and time-effective solutions.

The Destination Florence project also offers an important strategic tool for the promotion of the city of Florence, which will act as the digital hub of tourism in Florence. This unique website is set to become the go-to online information centre for all visitors, cross selling all of the city’s amenities, from theater tickets to skip-the-line museum passes, taxi and tour reservations.
