We captured the action from The Florentine’s offices in via dei Banchi 4, near piazza Santa Maria Novella

American film director Michael Bay (Armageddon, Transformers) and a crew of some 450 film professionals are in Florence filming Six Underground, a forthcoming action film for Netflix starring Ryan Reynolds and Mélanie Laurent.

Logistical issues are expected to be less pronounced during the second round of shooting, which runs from September 10 to 21, since most scenes involving stunts or complex action shots wrapped in August. Sets are still moving daily and updates being distributed on the City of Florence website (www.comune.fi.it). According to ANSA, the production crew has given assurances that they will make necessary adaptations to ensure daily operations in filming areas are managed smoothly.

Filming will also take place in Rome, Taranto and Los Angeles.
