The annual “Open Cellars” wine event attracts thousands of visitors each year and this year has decided to give a percentage of proceeds to the organisation “Wine for Life,” which will use the money for programs to fight AIDS in Africa. Calculations are that every 100 bottles of wine sold will allow a woman infected with AIDS to deliver a healthy baby, while for every 1,000 bottles sold the family of an AIDS victim will be able to be financially supported for an entire year.
