Thanks to its 2-0 victory against Uganda and to South Africa’s 3-1 loss to Burkina Faso, Ghana has now qualified for the 2006 World Cup championship. This is the first time the team has ever qualified for the world football championship finals.

 

In the South American qualifications for the World Cup, a triple score by Adriano sends Brazil soaring towards the finals, surpassing Chile 5-0. Juan and Robinho also scored goals for Brazil.
