Teaming Jennifer Lopez and Jane Fonda in a Meet the Parents style comedy romance would seem to be a recipe for disaster. The veteran has been enticed out of semi-retirement to play the monstrous mother-in-law-to-be cliche to good bu barely credible effect, while the far from experienced silicone-enhanced Lopez is the merely decorative victim of husband to be Dr. Kevin;s moms vicious machinations. Show nearly stolen by Wanda Sykes as Moms sidekick, Ruby. Obvious happy ending too long coming.
