The kidnapping case that has kept Italy hoping for over a month has reached its saddest end. The body of baby Tommaso Onofri was found recently, buried under 30 cm. of mud. The kidnappers Mario Alessi  and Salvatore Raimondi confess. “We killed the baby because he was crying.” They hit Tommaso over the head with a shovel, but which of the two delivered the fatal blow remains unclear. The autopsy confirmed that Tommaso has been dead for a month. The funeral will take place on Saturday in Parma’s Duomo.
