How far would you go to keep a secret? Dumb question posed by this tedious thriller by the man who brought us the estimable Glengarry Glen Ross. James Foleys Perfect Stranger has the shapely Halle Berry and the virile Bruce Willis playing online cat-and-mouse as she, the journalist, goes undercover to try to expose him, the executive, as the killer of her best friend. These two stars evidently took the money (lots of it), did their mediocre stuff (ditto), and then ran. Empires review says it best: A twist-burdened techno-thriller that would be by-the-numbers if it could count.
