What
better to enjoy the summer in Florence
than expanding your mind and furthering your knowledge of that which surrounds
you: learn more about Florentine art, culture and cuisine while practising the
Italian language’s challenging congiuntivo. Short or long or weeks long
summer courses held in Florence
and Tuscany
are offered in an array of disciplines. By combining language learning with
fashion, music, cinema, sculpture, painting, photography, architecture, Italian
and Tuscan culture and cuisine, the courses offered throughout the area will
undoubtedly present a meaningful way to make the best of your stay in Florence,
while boosting personal enrichment and fulfilment. We recommend courses
combining language with culture, art or cuisine. Some courses can be taken
while participating in your favourite sports. Language classes usually run in
the morning and sporting excursions and culture and art classes are scheduled
during afternoons. Summer courses generally last from one to two weeks.

LANGUAGE
AND COOKING

Perfect
the practical aspects of the Italian language while polishing your skills in
the kitchen with a course in Tuscan cuisine and language. Visit local farms,
oil mills and vineyards to get the full Tuscan experience. Then bring this
knowledge back to the homestead and make fresh pasta, pizza, risotto and
delectable Italian desserts.

LANGUAGE
AND ART CLASSES

From
five-day intensive courses on Florentine frescoes and gardens to weeks-long
classes on Renaissance art and philosophy, there is no better way to enjoy the
summer than perfecting your painting technique and develop your own expressiveness.
Create three-dimensional drawing, make yourself a necklace and matching
bracelet or learn to develop your own photos.

LANGUAGE
AND SPORTS

Combine
studying the Italian language with enjoying their favourite sports activities
in one of the most unique natural environments in the country. Students can
choose from an array of sports activities like canoeing, rowing and sailing,
surfing, scuba diving and snorkelling in and around the islands of the Tuscan
Archipelago, the coast of Argentario
and the Maremma Natural Park.
Horseback riding, trekking and cycling in and around Florence.
