Tuscan astronomer Galileo Galilei is finally getting the attention he deserves during the year-long calendar of events scheduled to honor of the 400th anniversary of his invention of the telescope. As part of the International Year of Astronomy, Tuscany comes to life with a host of celebrations, including Palazzo Strozzi’s Galileo: Images of the Universe from Antiquity to the Telescope, which runs until August 30.
