The Tuscan region recently established a watchdog organization to monitor the effects of the proposed legislation, currently under scrutiny in parliament, on the implementation of fiscal federalism. The organization will study the effects federalism may have at the municipal, regional and national level. An online debate on fiscal federalism and other important issues will be featured on the site, www.biennaledemocrazia.it/federalismo, as part of Turin’s Biennial of Democracy, running December 10 to 11, in which the Tuscan region will participate.
