The state museums of Florence have announced extended opening hours to accommodate visitors to Florence over the Easter 2012 holiday.
On Easter Sunday, April 8 2012, the museums will observe their normal Sunday opening hours. The following museums will be open: The Uffizi gallery (with the exhibit on tapestries), the Galleria dell’Accademia, Galleria Palatina, Museo di San Marco, Museo del Bargello, Museo degli Argenti and Boboli Gardens, all the Medici villas, and the Last Suppers (cenacoli) of Andrea del Sarto and Sant’Apollonia.
On Monday April 9 2012 (Pasquetta), the following museums will be exceptionall open: The Uffizi gallery (with the exhibit on tapestries), the Galleria dell’Accademia, Medici Chapels, Orsanmichele, Boboli Gardens, Palazzo Davanzati, the Last Suppers (cenacoli) of Andrea del Sarto and Sant’Apollonia, Chiostro dello Scalzo, and the Medici villas of Castello, Petraia, Poggio a Caiano and Cerreto Guidi.
