EuroNight Tuscany’s Sea is the new train connection
between Livorno and Vienna. The new service took effect on March 31, through a
collaboration between the OeBB Austrian Railways and Trenitalia. The overnight
train will connect Vienna and Livorno, with three intermediate stops in Pisa,
Florence and Bologna.
The train
will also accommodate cars and motorcycles. ‘This is an opportunity of great
importance for the coastal territory and Elba,’ says provincial superintendent
of tourism, Paolo Pacini, ‘because it will immediately allow the arrival of
many Austrian tourists in our province. Local operators must seize the
opportunity to offer packages for tourists that includes accommodation and
entertainment.’
