ACF
Fiorentina’s youth players are the subject of MTV’s new reality series, Calciatori Giovani Speranze, which
follows the thrills and spills of young footballers’ lives.

Sprained
ankles, away games in Sicily and heart-breaking penalty kick misses are daily
events for these rising stars of the football world, all of whom dream of
playing in Serie A.

Focusing
on players born in 1995 and 1996, the show introduces goalkeeper and part-time
fashionista Luca Lazzerini; top goal scorer but academic underachiever Diomandé
Cedric Gondo; and former captain Saverio Madrigali, who is seeking to win back
his place in the starting 11 after a serious injury.

The
stakes are high for these young protagonists. For those who make it to
professional football, fame, fortune and fulfilment supposedly await. For those
who fail, the contracts dry up, doors are closed and life changes course. Calciatori Giovani Speranze is broadcast
at 3:10pm and 7:30pm from Monday to Friday on MTV Italia.
