Welcome,
students! It’s a new year and the city is full of life and vivacity, enlivened
by the arrival of thousands of study abroad and Erasmus students from all over
the world.

If you are
one of these lucky people who have recently arrived in our colourful city,
chances are you’ve already had to battle with visas, applications and train
delays. Florence may have some of the best art and food in the world, but
navigating your way through mounds of paperwork, finding student discounts or
even just getting off the tourist track can be a challenge. Don’t worry: The
Florentine will help you make this beautiful city your home. We’ll keep you
up to date on the best local concerts, markets and exhibits; help you uncover
dining and shopping secrets; explain the public transportation system; and
guide you to museums, places and experiences off the tourist trail. So forget
Starbucks and H&M: with The Florentine in hand you’ll be living like
a local in no time!
