On April 6, 2014, people from all walks of life came together for the 31st Vivicittà Half Marathon.

The scenic running track passed through all of Florence’s treasures: Santa Croce, Ponte Vecchio and the Duomo.

Vivicittà is sponsored by Uisp, the Italian union of sports for everyone, and was not limited to Florence, as it also took place in 100 other Italian cities and other countries at the same time.

The marathon provided something for everyone, including non-competitive and competitive runners, beginners and professionals. Participants could choose from a 21,097 km, a 10k, a walking 4k with world champion runner Milena Megli, and a special race for boys and girls with the Tommasino Bacciotti foundation.
