This domenica, it’s all about the donne. International Women’s Day is being celebrated all over the world on Sunday, March 8, but in Florence the festivities are more varied than most. Here’s a roundup of the top ways to celebrate Festa della Donna in Florence—besides breaking out the mimosa flowers and calling your mother.

1) Head to Women Supporting Women—A lively marketplace, exhibition and celebration packed with handmade treasures from Italian and international artisans. Ten percent of proceeds go toward Artemisia, which supports women and children survivors of domestic violence. Tickets (12 euro) will be available at the door.12pm—10.30pm, Convitto della Calza, piazza della Calza 6 (Porta Romana)

2) Visit Florence’s Civic Museums—Women can enjoy free entry all day at the Museum of Palazzo Vecchio, Museo Novecento, the Stefano Bardini Museum, the Brancacci Chapel, Santa Maria Novella, and the Fondazione Salvatore Romano. For more information, call 0552768224

3) Otel: Pour le Femme!—Not recommended for the strictly-PG crowd, Paris-based group OffLimits will be performing at Otel Sunday evening—this is their ninth time on a Florentine stage. Dinner and a concert will take place prior to the main attraction. Call 055650971 or email info@otelvariete.com to book. From 9pm, Otel Varieté, via Generale della Chiesa 9

4) Get your sports fix—Out at the Mandela Forum, two Italian women’s volleyball teams will face off Sunday evening. Bisonte Firenze will battle it out with Nordmec Rebecchi Piacenza as part of the Italian Women’s Series A Championships.6pm, Nelson Mandela Forum, viale Malta 6

 5) Keep the celebrations and conversations going—One week after the official holiday ends, head to Caffe’ Letterario Le Murate for a special screening of the short documentary Rename, Reclaim: Women in Italian Streets (Strade: Femminile Plurale). A conversation with activists Alice Trippi and Lorella Zanardo will follow. The event will be in English and Italian.March 15, 11am, Caffe’ Letterario Le Murate, piazza delle Murate
