On May 23 and 24, student choirs from all over Italy and Europe will gather in the basilica of Santa Croce as part of the 150th anniversary celebrations of when Florence was the capital of Italy for a short time.
For the first time, the International Festival of University Choirs will be in Florence after visiting various other Italian cities including Milan, Rome and Modena.
The festival will consist of 10 choirs and over 300 participants. On Saturday, May 23, the concert will take place at 5pm and 9pm, and on Sunday, May 24, at 10am and 3pm. Admission is free but spots are limited, so act fast and get your tickets soon.
