With automobiles, fashion, food, furniture and mechanical engineering, Italy has regained its position among the top 10 suppliers to the United States.

Starting in 2003, through a gradual decline in the popularity of Made in Italy goods, Italy had fallen to a low of 15th place by 2010.

Reflecting a five-year effort to maintain year-on-year growth exceeding that of competitor countries, Italy has recaptured the 10th spot. Between January and June of 2015, sales of Italian products rose by 6.7 percent, and Italian exports to the US are now worth 22.3 billion dollars.

China is the main supplier to the US market, exporting goods to a total value of 237 billion dollars, followed by Canada (154 billion) and Mexico (147 billion).
