Continuing the trend, another independent bookstore is coming to Florence. The store, Clichy, is joining the literary scene in the Oltrarno, at via Maggio 13r. With a public opening scheduled for September 12 at 5.30, the new shop will sell works published by Edizioni Clichy, an independent publishing house in Florence that specializes in French, American and English literature, along with children’s literature and critical texts. The editorial team will also be housed in the space. The store promises an eclectic mix, with works also in Italian, where literature sits beside popular fiction, from James Joyce’s Ulysses to Dan Brown’s Inferno.
