With the tagline ‘Headquartered in Florence | Global in Mind,’ Blu Knight offers handcrafted furniture, details, lighting and other interior design elements for residences and corporate properties in its new showroom and offices near Ponte Santa Trinita.
Founder Warren Knight, a New Yorker, has brought to his new company not only an eye for all things classical and refined but a passion for design, as evidenced by the pieces in his collection, all of which he designs himself.
Knight’s design philosophy embraces the beauty, elegance and quality of Asian and Western interiors, including eighteenth-century English, Italian baroque, Ming and Han periods. Working with a wide array of materials, among them gold leaf, solid oak, leather, porcelain, stone, brass and silk, Knight produces dining tables and chairs, beds, chairs, mirrors, sofas, vases, lamps, screens, wall art and other accent pieces.
By year’s end, Knight plans to introduce a line of wallpaper.
