Every year thousands of students study abroad in Florence, one of the most beautiful cities in the world. They also experience the reverse homesickness when they get back to their daily routines at home. We know all too well what it’s like to day dream of eating gelato on the Ponte Vecchio or wish you were bartering with your favorite vendor at the leather market instead of going to the shopping mall.

While many scheme up hundreds of ways to return to Florence, James Madison University invites those students passionate about Florence, international politics and world affairs to consider its Master of Arts in Political Science, European Union Policy Studies (EUPS) program. The EUPS program offers a 1-year, 33-credit Master’s based wholly in Florence, Italy.

EUPS classes are held in the university’s beautifully restored 16th-century Palazzo Capponi, in the Santo Spirito neighborhood (directly in front of Gusta Pizza). On Wednesday, November 25 from 6 to 7.30pm we’re opening our doors to students interested in learning more about earning their Master’s degree in Florence.

The evening’s program includes:6.00 pm – 6.15 pm Meet and Greet – Welcome Drink6.15 pm – 6.45 pm Program presentation with Academic Program Coordinator Dr. Caterina Paolucci6.45 pm – 7.15 pm Presentation from current Masters students7.15 pm – 7.30 pm Q&A

At the Open House we’ll discuss what makes our program unique, our academic travel program to Brussels and Strasbourg, course material and structure, international internships and professional development training.

We encourage anyone, regardless their class standing, to attend and learn more. Space is limited so we highly recommend RSVPing at: jmuflorenceopenhouse.eventbrite.com
