New Kid, an unusual and creative footwear and accessories label based in Florence, will open its Oltrarno studio on Friday, November 27 from 10am–10pm. The Open Studio day will be fun and festive, offering a sample sale and a great opportunity to pick up some very special Christmas gifts.

New Kid footwear is mostly for women, but many styles are unisex and available in the men’s size range. All of the brand’s wares are designed and made here in Tuscany, in the valley between Pisa and Florence, and on a small scale with a network of family-run factories. Though the production methods are hands-on and old-fashioned, the result is crazy, contemporary (and crazy classic) footwear styles, with custom outsoles, specially treated leathers and plenty of love and care.

At the Open Studio day, you’ll get the chance to take advantage of New Kid’s brand new made-to-order service. Choosing from classic New Kid styles to use as a base, you can develop your own New Kids made special with your own ideas and unique touches. New Kid has a vast selection of leathers available to choose from and the staff enthusiastically looks forward to making shoes “for you and with you.”

The team at New Kid is also excited to introduce a new made-in-Tuscany clothing range, featuring garments that transition well between seasons, are flexibly sized and can be worn by both women and men.

Come to New Kid’s Open Studio sale to say ciao, meet Rach, Sam and Leti, enjoy a beverage and pet the New Kid dogs!
