From Giotto to Caravaggio, more than 1,000 masterworks from Florence’s Uffizi Gallery are currently on virtual display in Milan.
Organized in collaboration with the city of Milan, the Uffizi Virtual Experience features 40 large-screen projectors and several Uffizi Touch kiosks displaying the works in high resolution.
Spanning four centuries, the works, which include such famous pieces as Botticelli’s The Birth of Venus and Primavera, Leonardo da Vinci’s Annunciation and Caravaggio’s Medusa, can be viewed in minute detail or enjoyed full size.
On view through March 10 at the Fabbrica del Vapore (via Procaccini 4, Milan), the Uffizi Virtual Experience is the Uffizi’s first interactive exhibition on such a scale.
