All over the world on March 8, people pay tribute to the “wonder women” in their lives. In Florence this year, you’ll find Festa della Donna celebrations of every type, from museum visits to Magic Mike-like performances. Grab your gal pals, stick some mimosas in your hair and enjoy these highlights.

A DINNER TRIBUTE

Head to Il Borro Tuscan Bistro (lungarno Acciaiuoli 80r) for a delicious celebration of some of the region’s most exceptional food, wine and beer producers—all women. From March 4 to 6, chef Andrea Campani shines the spotlight on them with dedicated dishes highlighting their best products (11am–11pm daily). The grand finale is a dinner (reservations required) with a varied menu including roasted pigeon with turnips, tagliatelle with duck sauce, Chianti Classico wines and craft beers. | Tel. 055.290423; fabio@ilborro.it

ARTE DONNA

Contemporary art venue Galleria 360 (via il Prato 11r) hosts the free group exhibition “Arte Donna,” which features international artists including Louise Bourgeois and Vanessa Beecroft. The exhibition showcases artists who have rejected the idea of women as passive, as objects of admiration rather than individuals with agency. Ahead of Festa della Donna, the opening reception is Friday, March 4 at 7pm, and will include a jazz performance. | Tel. 055.2399570; info@galleria360.it

OFFLIMITS at OTEL

The men of Parisian “PG-13 dance” troupe OffLimits will be at Otel (via Generale della Chiesa 9) for their tenth titillating performance on a Florentine stage. Before the show, enjoy dinner and music from 8.30pm. | Dinner and show, 35 euro; tables after dinner, 30 euro per person; after-dinner entry, 15 euro. Tel. 055.650791; info@otelvariete.com
